“For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul?” (Mark 8:36).
God’s power will save you, keep you saved, and help you to live a victorious Christian life.
"No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.(1 Corinthians 10:13)
After you are saved, there are three things to practice daily for spiritual growth:
Doing these three things will help you grow spiritually.
Dear friend you need to find a Bible-believing church without delay. This is your spiritual family. Because being born again you become a member in the body of Christ.
" Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually. ( 1 Corinthians 12:27)"
Just like our human bodies work together to stay alive, we as believers need each other to grow together and develop.
And as you grow spiritually, you should be baptized in obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ as a public testimony of your salvation, “Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord . . . .” (2 Timothy 1:8). When you are baptized by water, you are publicly announcing that you are not ashamed of your faith, and reliance in Jesus Christ as your personal Savior.
“Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 10:32).
The water baptism carries a symbolical significance. Being submerged in water is being dead to all of your past and sinful experiences, when you're being brought out of the water is being resurrected to new life the same way Jesus was resurrected after His death on the cross.
"Therefore we are buried with Him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father.." (Romans 6:4)
He is our Guide according to John 16:13 "But when the Spirit of Truth comes, he will guide you into all the Truth". He has come! In order to get his guidance, we need to allow him full control of our spirit (heart). We can do that by being baptized in the Holy Spirit. The term baptism signifies full immersion, meaning all the rooms of our spirit will get filled by the Holy Spirit. Jesus' disciples were baptized with the Holy Spirit so should we.
"For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with Holy Spirit.. "(Acts 1:5)
Our lives, are supposed to confess that God lives within us, and that we are not like this world, we are in this world but not of it. Dear friend we are to be set apart from this world.
Now you are now on exciting journey, living with God and His Spirit guiding you, developing and leading you with peace and joy through the earthly struggles into the everlasting life with Jesus forever.
